High Anonymity Proxy

By | July 10, 2009

The perfect definition is not available to describe about the high anonymity proxy. But the opinion indicates that the high anonymity proxy consists of a high secure proxy. By just adding the word high or super or highly secure to the word proxy or the proxy list will surprisingly have less effect regarding the security.

This point can be viewed from various angles. For example, consideration can be given regarding the essential rules for running any other service or the proxy service. The user context that is used for running the proxy service has to be looked into. The details have to be gathered from the owner of the proxy.

The worst thing that is expected is running this proxy service as a root and the user will have an overall control on the complete server. On occurrence of any vulnerability, flaw or bug in the proxy service, it will allow the user to open the big door for the complete server. Once the root account is controlled by the attacker, he has the liberty for doing anything of his choice to all the logs, files, accounts and the users on that particular server.

Creating a devoted used ID for the proxy server is the good secure option. This ID should not be utilized for any of the other services and the same should run only in this and not in the other services. This will protect the files, computer, other servers and the logs that are running on that computer. Even though the account of the computer is compromised, the server’s remaining part will be secured. It is not possible to get a high anonymous proxy free of cost.

The general observation is that none of the users will think about the proxy’s security and its server. They focus mainly on the factor of hiding of the IP address.
